none of the guys ( or even the one girl ) in my local comic shop has ever understood my being so pissed at DC for what they've done to Mary Marvel. is it an age thing? maybe I'm too old for modern comics. "sexing up" Mary Marvel was, and still is, WRONG. damn their eyes.
I'm still hoping that this JSA issue takes place before Final Crisis and then she goes back to normal after that.
Nice to know I'm not alone in my horror at the Britney Whore that was once Mary.
Still, knowing DC, there will be a six issue mini-series soon called Whatever Happened To Mary Marvel?, and we'll line up to buy it.
Besides just being wrong that broad needs to spend some time in the tanning booth

The annoying pure-and-sweet Mary Marvel from the JLI days? I found her incredibly attractive (of course, she was drawn as someone presumably in her early 20s)
The new Mary Marvel? blah.
(And I agree - do we really need such a shot in a comics cover?)
Joe - Yep, if there's one character that shouldn't be sexed up, it's Mary Marvel. If there's another it's Supergirl.
