I tend to watch Smallville sporadically when it's on air, but by the season on DVD (seasons 1-6 are just $15 right here!) - and that means I haven't caught any of Sam Witwer's Doomsday character yet....
...but it looks like I may be watching this week's episode when he shows up in all his bony glory:

FYI: It's only gonna be short snippets. Supposedly they are gonna reveal Doomsday in a Cloverfield-esque way. I imagine this is partly to keep down the costs on their effects budget, which I can only imagine to be astronomical.
I was surprised that they are going to do this already. I thought they would have waited and do a slow burn all season. What are they gonna have after this for the rest of the season?
Who is to say this is it? This could be the last episode before the usual winter break. Maybe they leave off with everyone thinking Doomsday Kills Clark similar to how it happens in the comics. I'm sure they would have to tweak it a bit considering he isn't superman in the public eye yet. They could come back in the second half of the season with more Doomsday or his resurection
