JG Jones' replacement on the last issue of Final Crisis doesn't bother me as much as it apparently does some other people, but I think once it may have done.
I'd rather have an issue in my hand - and I believe Doug Mahnke is a great artist anyway - than wait for it.
I don't know whether the delay to Jones' work is as a result of Grant Morrison apparently revising some scripts, health factors or whatever else, but I appreciate the fact that he's apologized for it. I'm still waiting on a mea culpa from Adam Kubert, so that means a lot and I hope this doesn't negatively impact his career too badly.
I am curious though - will Jones' dropping out of the book honestly influence any of your decisions to buy the rest of the series or not?

Naw, I stopped buying it after the whole "time bullet" thing. The overall story is what killed the title for me. Heck they could get Jim Lee on the thing and I still wouldn't read it.
Honestly the spin-offs I am finding more interesting both in story and in art; Final Crisis: Revelations and Final Crisis: Rogues Revenge (which just finished up its 3 issue run) have both been awesome compared to the main title, or at least what I read of the main title before dropping it like a bad habit.
I'm with Nick on this one. I wanted to read the whole miniseries, but after #3 I just can't read it anymore. I tried. I really did.
I agree that the spin offs have been so much better. Rogue's Revenge was awesome! Revelations has been pretty good, too. I even liked Last Will and Testament.
i don't mind the change in art since I like Mahnke art anyways. What will affect my decision to buy all the issues is if Morrison does not start kicking Final Crisis in to gear already and actually reveal some stuff. Because thus far it has just been talking heads without revealing anything.
And were the hell is Darkseid?
If he is suppose to be the big bad guy of Final Crisis and he has only been mentioned. Hopefully issue 4 has to be were we finally see him in the middle of the issue and not on the last pages.
I'll be honest, I'm disappointed that Jones isn't finishing the book, but I'll still be picking it up.
Actually, I've been enjoying the book (and the tie-ins) quite a bit, so I guess I'm alone there.
